But what if it's boring?

To prepare for my upcoming placement, I took a job back in August at an after school program assisting middle school students with their homework (glorified baby-sitting). The other day, when I told one of my students that I would be living overseas for 2 years as a volunteer, this 11-year-old was most concerned with whether or not I would be bored.

This morning I woke up to find the email I have been waiting on for several months: "Peace Corps has updated your Application Status account. Log in to see the latest information." And there it was, Congratulations! You have been invited to become a Peace Corps Volunteer. Unfortunately, there was no information whatsoever regarding my placement. I have to wait for my invitee packet in the mail (the mail!) to find out where I am going or what I will be doing. And it will take one week to get here.

Thus begins the longest 7 days of my life.
